Jean-Marc Lévy-Leblond is Physicist and epistemologist, Professor Emeritus, University of Nice. Research work in theoretical physics (invariance principles and group theory, quantum theory, space-time structure), as well as in philosophy of science, (foundational problems of quantum theory and relativity theory). Editor of several scientific series with the publisher Seuil (Paris). Founder and editor of the quarterly Alliage (Culture-Science-Technique). Author of several books on the social, political and cultural issues of modern science.
